We are locked behind fences that we built by our own hands

Flickr

I joined flickr about a year ago, I must say it is one of the greatest site concerning photo sharing on the net (if it is not the greatest) : it has unlimited capabilities, a very nice and handy interface, widely incorporate in many photo managing software ...etc.
Lately I was surprised when I was uploading pics to flickr with a message telling me that I reached the 200 pics limit ! and I have to upgrade to Flickr pro or other wise I won't be able to see but the latest 200 pics !
I wanted to "upgrade" to the pro, but I found it is not a free service, I have to pay an annual subscription just to keep all my pics visible, of course I got mad not because of the fee but because of the way Yahoo acted on this site; it was a fraud rather a straight path, no clue was there when first I joined flickr, all the banners said it is free and there was not a word about any 200 pics limit.
I turned back to picassa with its limited storage size (1 GB) but at least they say from the beginning that you have a limit and if you want more then you can get more (for a cheap price) and everything was clear from the beginning, every thing was straight and no manoeuvrings. now I'm happily enjoying picassa with its marvellous desktop software... and saying GOOD BYE FLICKR.
